If you’ve worked with primehammer, you’ve probably already met Daniel, or at least seen his name in your inbox.
He’s usually the first “nice to meet you”, the friendly follow-up email, and the person making sure things keep moving when projects get complicated. He works closely with both our clients and our team to make sure expectations are aligned, and everyone stays sane.
But this story didn’t start in tech — it started in a small town in the Czech Republic called Boskovice, on the football pitch.

From Football to Plan B (Which Turned Out Pretty Well)
Growing up, Daniel spent most of his time playing football. He played in the national league at a youth level and expected the sport to be his future, until an injury made him rethink his plans.
It wasn’t easy, but his resilience got him through it by shifting his focus toward education and long-term career building. The discipline and team mindset stayed with him – he just swapped the football pitch with client calls and the ball with a laptop. Slightly less running, a few more emails.
Studying Abroad
University took him far away from Boskovice.
He studied in Prague, joined a summer school at Maastricht University, spent time in Seoul on exchange, and later started his master’s in Sydney.

Each stop brought new perspectives, new people, and a better understanding of how business and communication work across cultures.
‘Honestly, the best part wasn’t the classes. It was meeting people from all over the world. I was always curious about how differently people think or approach things. Some of those friendships are still a big part of my life today — and through those connections, I even met my wife. So studying abroad shaped much more than just my career.’

Before primehammer: Apify
Before joining primehammer, Daniel spent three years at Apify, a leading YC-backed web scraping and automation platform, which he joined during its early stage. He enjoyed a front-row seat to what building a startup really means – the team expanding, the product evolving, the exciting wins, and the messy parts.
Most of his time was spent in Prague, with a short chapter working from New York. Being part of the company leadership gave him know-how and experience he still carries with him today.

Three Years at primehammer
Daniel is now celebrating three years at primehammer.
He’s the main point of contact for most of our clients, connecting the dots between what the client wants and what primehammer delivers. He keeps things running smoothly, solves problems early, and makes sure nothing falls through the cracks.
He travels regularly to meet partners in person, because sometimes a Zoom call is not enough, and sometimes you need a shared meal and a padel match.

Spain, Remote Work, and a (Slight) Padel Obsession
Recently, Daniel relocated to Estepona, on Spain’s Costa del Sol.
Like many of our team, he works remotely — balancing calls, travel, and the “occasional” (his calendar may disagree) padel match. Sport is still part of his routine, but without the old pressure (just some friendly competition).

The Common Thread
There’s no dramatic plot twist in Daniel’s story, just a steady progression shaped by curiosity, discipline, and openness to new environments.
At primehammer, Daniel focuses on what he enjoys most: working with people, building long-term collaborations, and helping clients build teams that feel like a natural extension of their own.
And if you reach out to us, there’s a very good chance he’ll be the one saying hello – as soon as he puts down his padel racket.
