Bringing Order to Complexity
At primehammer, no two days are ever the same, but there is one constant: Kate’s ability to bring order to complexity. As our Senior Finance & PeopleOps Specialist, she wears many hats – finance, operations, HR, and company culture – but what really sets her apart is her genuine passion for taking care of people & processes.
Kate has been with primehammer for five years now, a milestone she reached this past May. After completing her Master’s in Special Education, Speech Therapy, and Hearing Impairment, staying at primehammer was an easy decision for her. She recognized that she had found a unique environment where she could blend structure, creativity, and meaningful human connection. It wasn’t just a job; it felt like the perfect fit.

Small Details, Big Differences
What makes Kate such a vital part of the team is her belief that small details make a big difference. Whether she is optimizing a complex workflow, organizing a memorable company event, or simply making a colleague's workday a little easier, she approaches every task with curiosity and empathy. She is a firm believer that work should be both meaningful and fun, and she strives to create an environment where everyone feels welcome and supported.

More Than Just Spreadsheets
But don’t let the spreadsheets and process improvements fool you – Kate is also incredibly creative. Outside of the office, she is constantly turning ideas into reality. She loves making things and, perhaps even more, learning how to make them. Give her something she's never done before, and chances are she will want to figure out how it works.
Her hobbies range from resin art, pottery, and crocheting to designing custom wedding stationery and DIY games. She is a self-proclaimed "vibecoder," recently diving into AI tools to supercharge her workflows, and a Canva enthusiast who loves graphic design as much as she loves a well-organized checklist.

An Explorer at Heart
An explorer at heart, Kate spends her free time planning her next adventure. From climbing and riding her enduro motorcycle to exploring new cultures, languages, and cafés, she loves discovering the world beyond the usual tourist trails. She enjoys running, but turns to yoga when she needs to soothe her mind and slow down.

Sweden, where she lived for a year, holds a special place in her heart as a second home, while London remains a favorite destination – a city where she dreams of spending an entire week lost in the Natural History Museum.

Giving Back to the Community
Beyond her professional and personal passions, Kate is deeply committed to giving back. For years, she has been actively involved with the deafblind community, supporting people with deafblindness through volunteering, and in her role as a secretary of a nonprofit organization. Guiding others in this community is a cause close to her heart, reflecting her core belief that building lasting relationships is what truly matters.

Curious, empathetic, and always ready for a challenge, Kate is more than just a specialist; she is the creative heartbeat of primehammer. She can turn from optimizing a process in the morning to painting a masterpiece in the evening – definitely a rare combo!
